Does Mane N Tail make your hair grow longer?

Okay, so back in April I got a bad haircut. The beautician cut my hair really bad, and made it really short. I HATED it. My hair now, has grown about a 1/2 inch. I am really wanting my hair to grow back/and then some. I heard mane n tail makes your hair grow. Is this true, and if so how long will it take before i see results?I miss my hair and just want it back.
